Range Rover P510e: 510 horsepower and 113 km of autonomy – Autoplus

Land Rover has just unveiled a new plug-in hybrid version of its Range Rover, the P510e version, with 510 horsepower and an electric range of 113 km.

Land Rover introduced the new generation of its iconic Range Rover late last year. A new generation even more luxurious than the previous one, and which will also be more efficient since the platform of this new model will be adapted for a 100% electric version that will arrive within the next few years. In the meantime, customers looking for an electrified Range Rover can still turn to the 440 horsepower P440e version, but also to a new Range Rover P510e, more powerful and with substantial autonomy for a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

With a 38.2 kWh battery

This version embeds a battery with a capacity of 38,2 kWh. A record currently on the market. It’s almost as much as some electric cars, like the Hyundai Ioniq for example. To refuel, the Range Rover P510e a fast charging system with a capacity of 50 kW DC which is added to the charger of 7 kW AC. Thanks to a Combo CSS socket, it is possible to recharge the battery by 40 minutes on a fast terminal. On a 7 kW Wallbox installed at home, for example, you will have to be a little more patient, since it will take about 5 hours to reach 100%.

Up to 113 kilometers for the Range Rover P510e

Like some Mercedes, this Range Rover is one of the rechargeable hybrids that can exceed 100 kilometers of autonomy on a single charge. Depending on the WLTP cycle, the P510e version can cycle up to 113 kilometers with its single electric motor 143 horsepower. In practice, it will surely be necessary to count on a little less and around 60 kilometers. Considering the capacity of the battery, this is relatively little, but this is mainly explained by the weight of the machine, which peaks at more than 2.5 tons.

The electric motor is paired with a 3.0 liter six-cylinder thermal block bringing total power to 510 horsepower. Obviously, the price is correlated to the services of this luxurious British SUV, with a price that starts, in France, from 150 300 euros. For comparison, the P440e version, claims 134,100 euros.
