Health protocol: these places which are no longer concerned by the gauge from February 2

The total reopening of the stadiums will take place: previously announced by the government, it is confirmed by the new version of the health protocol of the Professional Football League (LFP) which has integrated the end of the gauge of 5,000 spectators from February 2. . “100% of the seats can be marketed”, confirms the document, which is in its eighth version since July.

This modification was expected after the announcement, on January 20, by Prime Minister Jean Castex of the end of wearing a mask outside and gauges from February 2. The government had restored on January 3 a gauge of 5,000 spectators for major outdoor events, in order to stem the spread of Covid-19. Marseille-Angers, Friday, will be the first Ligue 1 meeting affected by this lifting of restrictions.

Standing places possible under condition

The new protocol also allows the reopening of parking lots intended for visiting supporters, with one exception until February 15 inclusive: in certain stadiums where there are stands for standing supporters. “The clubs concerned are invited to approach their local authorities to study the possibility of opening the ‘standing places’ zones while respecting physical distance. Failing this (…), the ‘standing places’ zones will not be able to not be used”, specifies the document, which authorizes in this case not to open the visitors’ stands to better distribute the local supporters.

As a reminder, according to the regulations of the LFP, the places reserved for visiting supporters must represent 5% of the capacity of the stadium, with a maximum of 1,000 places, unless agreed between the clubs concerned.
