We thought it would be called DBX S. The sports variant of the Aston Martin DBX is finally named DBX707. Unveiled on February 1, 2022, the sporty SUV pushes its big V8 to its limits. And to cash in on the increase in engine power, the Aston Martin DBX707 has been reinforced in several parts of its mechanics, while its design has been improved for the occasion.

Seen from the outside, the SUV of the firm of Gaydon indeed sports a wider chrome and satin grille at the front as well as new air intakes and daytime running lights. In profile, we notice the black chrome and satin outline that has been applied to the glass surfaces, while the lines that spring from the side air intakes are covered in a glossy black treatment. The supercharged SUV rides on 22-inch rims and tires, but 23-inch rims are offered as an option. At the rear, a spoiler has been integrated into the roof spoiler to provide more downforce and stability at high speeds. The diffuser has been widened to match the new four-outlet exhaust system.

It is therefore from a technical point of view that this Aston Martin DBX707 stands out the most from the rest of the range already made up of the V6 model and a version equipped with a 550 hp V8. This new sports variant features the same original Mercedes-AMG 4.0 biturbo V8. Except that the engine has been pushed to 707 hp, for 900 Nm of torque! It is therefore a real monster that Aston Martin offers, and the luxury car manufacturer claims to have created “the fastest SUV in the world”.

The maximum speed is set at 310 km/h. The SUV is equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a wet clutch, which promises faster gear changes.

On the braking side, the DBX707 features carbon ceramic brake discs and six-piston calipers. An electronic limited-slip differential was added to handle the beast’s monstrous torque.

They can also opt for a leather and Alcantara finish or even choose to sew an Aston Martin logo on the headrests. The bottom of the center console has finally been improved to make it easier to change the driving mode, deactivate the ESP, change the suspension mode or even open the valves of the exhaust system to take advantage of its worked sound.

The price of this Aston Martin DBX707 has not yet been communicated, but it should be well over €200,000. Production of the sporty SUV is due to start in the first quarter of 2022. The first deliveries are scheduled for the second quarter of the year.
