It is one of the 7 contenders for the title of Car of the Year 2022, the Enyaq SUV combines the first for Skoda. In 2020, the date of its presentation, it is certainly not the very first zero-emission vehicle from the Czech manufacturer, the Citigo e iV has already been there, but it is the first time that the manufacturer has launched a model that does not is driven only by 100% electric motors. And that’s not all because the Enyaq is now available in an SUV-coupe variant, that too is brand new for the Mladá Boleslav brand. And, to crown it all, the range of this new typed version, a little more dynamic than the “classic” version from which it derives, is styled by a sporty RS model, and that too, a Skoda RS that doesn’t make the slightest noise, that had never been done before.
Following the successful launch of the #ENYAQiV, #SKODA is now adding an elegant #coupé to the range. The line-up also includes a sporty RS variant. Find out about the new #EnyaqCoupeiV and the #EnyaqCoupeRSiV in the press kit on the ŠKODA Storyboard.

An ID.5 with Skoda sauce
However, we cannot say that this Enyaq Coupe iV is a big surprise. On the one hand, just as the Enyaq is a close cousin of the Volkswagen iD.4, the Enyaq Coupé takes up a number of attributes from another VW model, the coupé version of the ID.4 which is called ID .5. On the other hand, Skoda had already shared photos of a camouflaged model last September. So we knew more or less what to expect and we guessed that he was going to take on the main features of his close German relative. From the front to the B-pillar, this newcomer Coupe apes the “normal” Enyaq. Beyond, the roof drops giving a more dynamic look to the model. Inside, nothing changes. Note, however, that the panoramic roof is standard on the Coupé.
The dimensions were already known. As a reminder, the Enyaq Coupé is a little higher (1.62 m) than the standard model, by one millimeter. It is also longer by 4 mm (4.65 m). Width and wheelbase are however identical between the two bodies.
Up to 299 hp for the Skoda Enyaq Coupé RS iV
Like the ID.5, the Enyaq Coupé does not use all the engines of its “classic” SUV equivalent because it is a little more dynamic. Exit the small version 50 of 150 hp. It starts at 180 hp in the 60 version, rear-wheel drive. Above, the 80 model delivers 204 hp, like the 60 to the rear wheels alone. Then come the all-wheel-drive versions, which have a second motor on the front axle. The 265 hp 80x as well as the RS model, equivalent to the ID.5 GTX, a new version which is specific to the Coupé. With its 299 hp and 460 Nm torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and the maximum speed is raised to 180 km/h, compared to 160 km/h on all the other Enyaq Coupé.
Like the 80 and 80x models, the battery has a capacity of 77 kWh, only 58 kWh on the Enyaq Coupé 60. With its more streamlined profile, the autonomy would be better than on the Enyaq, only that of the model traveling the longest distance on a charge has been communicated: 545 km, it is 11 km better than the “normal” Enyaq 80. The prices and the opening date of the orders will be known later. To be continued.
