(AOF) – Riber recorded 2021 turnover of 31.2 million euros, up 3%. Systems revenue amounted to €17.4 million, down 4% due to refusals of export licenses by the French Administration for a total amount of €9 million in 2021. 8 MBE systems, including 4 production and 4 research, have been delivered, compared to 10 systems in 2020, including 4 production and 6 research.
Revenue from services and accessories increased by 15% to reach 13.8 million euros, or 44.2% of the company’s total revenue.
“This successful strategic development contributes, on the one hand, to strengthening the solidity of Riber’s positions with its R&D and production customers and, on the other hand, to supporting the recurrence of its revenues on its installed base of machines” explained the equipment specialist for the semiconductor market.
The order book as of December 31, 2021 amounted to 14.8 million, up 3% compared to the previous year. Orders for MBE systems are up 39% to 7.9 million and include 3 systems to be delivered in 2022. This backlog does not take into account 1 additional order recorded at the start of 2022 and 3 orders pending for export licenses. Orders for services and accessories are consolidating at a good level after the significant deliveries made at the end of 2021.
Riber confirms for the whole of the 2021 financial year its forecast of an operating result of 1.2 million euros.
“In a buoyant semiconductor market, the momentum of order intake bodes well for a growth year in 2022 for Riber,” the company said.
