Mazda launches a new 2 with hybrid engine, which is an authorized copy of the Toyota Yaris. The car will be in dealerships in March.
A Mazda 2 can hide another. In addition to the current generation, Mazda will offer a new model in March… which is none other than a rebadged Toyota Yaris. The interest for Mazda is to offer a city car with a real hybrid engine, which lowers its CO2 average, while “its” 2 has micro-hybridization blocks.
There is thus under the hood a three-cylinder 1.5 gasoline engine coupled to an electric block, all having a combined power of 116 hp. The brand promises fuel consumption in the combined cycle that does not exceed 4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of between 87 and 92 g/km depending on the size of the rims.
