Cupra Leon: a new VZ Cup finish

The range of the Spanish sports compact is enriched with a new VZ Cup finish, inspired by the brand’s competition models.

Cupra completes the range of Leon with the arrival of this new finish VZ Cup, inspired by the brand’s competition models and equipped with exclusive elements, inside and out.

Inside, the model features new bucket seats baptized “CUP Bucket”, which were inaugurated for the first time in the Cupra Formentor VZ5. In this Leon VZ Cup, they will be available with Genuine Black or Petrol Blue leather upholstery, and feature a carbon fiber shell at the rear.

The Spanish manufacturer promises optimized space on board, as well as a more ergonomic driving position. The interior is also completed with copper colored stitching, which can be found on the dashboard or the specific steering wheel.

Cupra Leon VZ Cup: a unique style

Outside, the model features a specific carbon fiber spoiler on the five-door versions, side skirt extensions in “Dark Alu”, or even carbon fiber mirror caps, offered as an option. This Cupra Leon VZ Cup is also equipped with 19 inch alloy wheels specific, fitted with Bridgestone tyres.

Under the hood, the Cupra Leon VZ Cup has a choice of several engines, among which we find the 2.0-liter TSI e-Hybrid with 245 horsepower, the 2.0-liter TSI with 310 horsepower with DSG box and transmission integral 4Drive (on the Sportstourer station wagon version), the 2.0-litre TSI with 300 horsepower, or the 2.0-litre TSI with 245 horsepower.

Production of the Cupra Leon VZ Cup has started at the brand’s factory in Martorell, and the first deliveries are expected for the month of mars 2022. The VZ Cup version is notably marketed in Germany, but should very soon join the catalog of other European markets.
